YOUNG GIRL SUES GRANDPA FOR ABUSE
An 11-year old girl sued her grandpa for abusing her in the Inner Mongolia
Autonomous Region.
Yang Juan, 11, sued her grandfather for abuse at local court in Baotou of the autonomous region, requesting compensation of 10,000 Yuan (US$1,200).
Yang accused
her grandpa of frequently beating her. Yang's parents divorced many years ago and she has since lived with her grandfather.
The grandpa said he was heartbroken when learning that the
girl was to sue him. The court judged that the case lacked evidence but decreed that Yang's foster rights be transferred from her grandparents to her mother. Yang and her mother
are satisfied with the judgment.

MISSING BOY REUNITED WITH PARENTS
A 3-year old Hong Kong boy, who lives with his parents in
bordering city Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, was recently reunited with his parents having been missing for 10 days.
The boy was found crying alone in front of a store on September 8 and was
taken by passers-by to the local police station. Notices were distributed around the community but no one came to claim the boy. In the meantime, Li Xiaoqing, a policemen took the child
under his wing.
The boy caught a bad cold and developed a fever, but recovered soon under the care of Li's family. The family continued to look for the boy's parents by putting
information online and inviting the media to report his situation.
The boy's aunt stumbled on his photo in a newspaper by accident last Sunday. Finally the boy was reunited with his anxious
parents.

An artificial tooth almost killed a middle-aged woman
while she was brushing her teeth on Tuesday morning.
The woman was tortured by a wobbly artificial tooth for about fifteen minutes before it uprooted and fell down
her throat almost choking her to death.
She tried to vomit the tooth out but she just ended up making her situation worse. Her husband soon
intervened and took his wife to the hospital where doctors removed the offending molar with a pair of tweezers.

GIANT PANDAS GET INTO SCRAP OVER MATE Courtesy: China Daily
They say the path of love never runs smooth, and ne'er
a truer phrase was spoken after two male giant pandas got into a fight over a mate in Changqing State Natural Reserve in Shaanxi Province.
The panda that came worse off was found on Monday and sent to a local wildlife rescue centre.
After examinations, experts estimated that the fight
occurred about 20 days ago. To add to his woes, the panda fell from a height leaving him paralyzed in the lower half of his body. He sent to a hospital on Wednesday for further treatment.
Wei Pengli from the reserve said giant pandas often fight for the attention females.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND FOR BLOOD DONOR
Zhang Weiliang from Xi'ning, capital of China's Qinghai
Province, never expected that his blood he donated two years ago would be required so soon.
His wife received a prompt blood supply during an
operation last month thanks to her husbands kind donation to the city's blood bank.
According to local blood donation policy, family members are entitled to priority consumption of the
donor's blood.
Zhang donated 200 units of blood type A in 2003 in response to a blood shortage situation, a deed he no doubt hasn't regretted.

WIFE'S LAWSUIT DISMISSED FOR 'IMPROPER EVIDENCE'.
The local court in Shanwei, Guangdong Province, recently dismissed a lawsuit filed by a wife surnamed
Huang against her husband surnamed Chen, for using "illegal means to collect evidence".
A resident of Shanwei of Guangdong Province, Huang
trailed her husband after he asked for a separation.
Huang broke into a house Chen had rented one night and found him with another woman. She photographed
them together and presented the picture as evidence in court.
But the court ruled in favour of Chen, saying Huang violated Chen's privacy by breaking into the house.
